The ideal base to break your journey for a few days when travelling from east to west or north to south. Less than an hour and half from Dublin and Galway AA directions and sat nav from Dublin will take you on a longer route and narrower road through Mountrath and over the top of the Slieve Bloom Mountains which is only advisable on a clear day. See directions below. GPS Latitude - (53.097967) From Dublin Airport to Kinnitty Co OffalyOn Leaving Airport, take the M1 towards Dublin. Exit at the next junction onto the M50 Southbound (easy to miss!). Toll barrier has been removed . Toll can be paid on line at Ardmore Country House .Most car hire companies are now paying this tole. Ask when hiring the car. Take Exit 9 off the M50 where you will see signposts for N7 also sign-posted Naas Road. After 12 miles the N7 becomes the M7. Stay on the M7 until you reach the Exit 15 for Mountmellic.,{ approx 28 miles from start of motorway.} When you come off the motorway here, follow the signs for for the R422 to Mountmellick through a series of roundabouts.In Mountmellick drive along Main Street, past the square in the town centre. Take the next left for Birr, also sign posted for Clonaslee. Continue on the R422 through Rosenallis, Clonaslee and Cadamstown to Kinnitty. Ardmore House is on the right hand side at entrance to village. { approx 50m past school.} From Shannon Airport to KinnittyOn Leaving Shannon Airport take the N18 towards Limerick following signs for M7 to Dublin.
