Fionn McCool grew up in the the Slieve Bloom Mountains. It was
here that he learned the skills of hurling - to this day the Slieve
Bloom region has one of the strongest traditions of hurling This
can be seen in the recent successes of the Offaly hurling team,
and the many hurling clubs in both Offaly and Laois. |
