There is still a tradition of story telling and Irish culture and music in the Slieve Bloom Area. Each autumn the Slieve Bloom Development Association hold a Story Telling Festival to celebrate this tradition in the villages surrounding the Slieve Bloom Mountains. Traditional music can be sampled around the region (Kinnitty Castle on Friday nights has one of the best Traditional Irish Music sessions). |
